The Appeal
The Alfa Romeo 75 marked the end of an era: the last model developed by Alfa Romeo before the Fiat acquisition. Its rear-mounted transaxle, inboard rear brakes, and De Dion rear suspension make it a beautifully balanced and therefore a driving character that enthusiasts hold in high regard. The 2.0-liter Twin Spark engine in particular resulted in near-perfect front-rear weight distribution, while the Busso V6 was a little on the heavy side.
This 1988 example has covered 51,000 miles and has been comprehensively recommissioned in 2026, with the braking system effectively renewed from front to rear, suspension components overhauled, the propshaft refurbished, and the fuel system E10-proofed throughout. A specialist inspection and subsequent health check, including compression, leak-down, and water system pressure tests, all returned positive results, and the car passed its MOT in May 2026 with no advisories.
The vendor states the red paintwork is believed to be original and in excellent condition, and describes the cloth interior as in lovely condition. Corrosion has been addressed as preservation rather than restoration, keeping the car's originality intact. An itemized work record, specialist inspection report, and invoices are all supplied with the car.image.png4.23 MB
