The Appeal

When it comes to supercar pace with space for family, hounds and luggage, then nothing quite touches Mercedes’ handsome W166 ML63 AMG. Yes, there are other high-performance wagons, but only the Mercedes has the magnificent noise generated by its torquey, hand-built 5.5L V8.

We’re told that the first keeper of this Palladium Silver car, who kept it until just a few months ago, ordered it with virtually every available option. This includes the various automated driver assistance aids, air suspension and the smart 21in AMG alloys. It has since been fitted with an AMG grille and later facelift rear lights (originals come with the car). It has been used and enjoyed over the years, but a full professional respray in 2024 in the original colour means that it continues to present very well.

The history file shows a long list of recent work covering brakes, coolant system and front radar sensors. We are told that it has been meticulously maintained. That seems to be borne out by the current MOT, which runs to October 2026 with no advisories.

This is a very tidy, highly specified super SUV. As a neat finishing touch, it comes with thexa appropriate private plate.
