Registration number PAG 74A.
Chassis number G-HN3-L/ 25371.
Engine number (see text) 18GA-U-H/ 4888.
PAG was built over the 3rd and 4th of December 1963 and dispatched to the USA on the 6th with a Chelsea Grey exterior and hood with a red interior. Factory fitted options on it were wire wheels, a heater, red tonneau, whitewall tyres, an ashtray, MPH speedo, fold away hood and an anti roll bar. At this time it had engine number 18G-U-H/ 27168 fitted.
In 1982 it was owned by Bill Luna of El Cajan in California and the mileage was 31, 256, by 1988 it was with Bob Lasko again in California with a mileage of 45, 379 and it underwent some $1, 700 of mechanical work. In 1992 it came home and was fully restored by Murray Scott-Nelson of Scarborough for Colin Bentham at a cost of £10, 000, in addition to the purchase price of £5, 000. The mechanical restoration included having the non original but period correct 3 bearing engine and gearbox rebuilt, the bodywork included replacing both floor pans and the front valance; it was changed to right hand drive at this time. This was completed in May 1993 and in 1996 the speedo was replaced (reading 49, 045, today it is 9, 253, total therefore 58, 298).
It has always been on the road since the restoration, our vendor buying her in December 2011. Some 14, 000 miles have been undertaken since 1992, which equates to less than 550 miles per annum. She now has a lovely patina of a well done older restoration which is still very good today.
Sold with the V5C, heritage certificate, tax discs from 1999 until 2014, and a quantity of receipts and photos.
