1958 Puch 500
Steyr-Daimler-Puch launched the 500 in 1957. The frame came from Fiat, and the rest from Graz. Air-cooled boxer engine, fully synchronised gearbox and counter-clockwise speedometer ensure that the diminutive Steyr was better than its Italian role model in every respect.
This Puch is an early 500 model from the first series. It was registered for the first time in Graz on 31 July and then deregistered just a short time later, in April 1968. It has been waiting patiently for its return to the road for 50 years now, most recently in the collection of the consignor, who added a few sporting touches to all of his Puchs.
