Beschreibung
This excellent condition slant engine is
suitable for a Vauxhall Victor FE series,
VX4/ 90,
Bedford CF 1&2
Panther Lima.
It will make an excellent upgrade for a
vehicle fitted with the 1800cc slant engine.
The block is an L. C type, as this version
does not self destruct if the cam belt should snap or jump teeth.
The engine has covered 56000 miles from
new and was rebuilt at 50000 miles.
It has been rebuilt with replacement ends
and mains.
The cam carrier was skimmed to
accommodate the reprofiled Piper Magnum
HR270 camshaft.
The valves were cleaned and polished and reground and the engine was fitted with a
water heated inlet manifold coupled to a
Twin Choke Weber type 32/ 36 DGAV
carburettor fitted with a manual choke
conversion.
The engine started well, performed strongly
with brisk performance.
It was in excellent running condition when
removed from the vehicle.
The crank turns freely and the cam belt
cover comes with the engine but was
removed for photographing.
It has a Sparkrite XS 2000 ignition system Included.
