1968 Singer Chamois Coupe for sale.
MOT'd last year and not moved off the drive since.
Owned 10+ years - mechanical restoration and upgrades have been made.
Bodywork is "Condition 3" . Some welding was required for MOT a number of years ago, which was completed. Bodywork shows sign of previous repairs, bubbling rust and a poor respray. It is roadworthy condition, but requires restoration to return to former glory.
Engine rebuilt 10 years ago, covered approx., 10K miles since - 875cc with +20thou rebore.
"L4" cylinder head with "Sport" size inlets (1. 28") Valve guides were replaced late 2015 (Colsibro). Also converted for unleaded. Running a Piper 1RY cam.
Exhaust system as per Sport (Remanufactured silencer).
Large choke (24mm) Solex carb, reamed out inlet manifold.
Oil cooler as per Sport spec.
Silicone hoses and a HE radiator fitted.
Imp club water pump fitted 2016.
Alternator conversion.
25D4 Sport (41190) distributor with electronic ignition.
Refurbed starter motor 2016.
Rebuilt gearbox along with engine - "Competition" donuts, with 1" drive shafts.
Monte Carlo springs all round (1" lower)
Polybushed front and rear
Spax at rear, AVO adjustable on the front
Brakes converted to disks on the front - "Imp Technic" 12" conversion.
New shoes/ cylinders at the rear.
Braided hoses front and rear.
Clutch and brake master cylinders replaced.
"Corley conversions" quick rack pinion fitted to the steering.
Adjustable track rods with Fiesta ball joints.
Not much in the way of interior, but all cappings are included. Door cards are missing as are some other panels. I've fitted part of a full carpet kit - the rest is included, along side a parcel shelf piece.

New seat belts with aircraft style latches clip in and out.
"Waso" gear lever lock.
Springalex deep dish steering wheel.
All locks function - Bonnet, engine lid, door, ignition, but all with different keys!
Cobra SL510 4-spoke alloys with locking wheel nuts. 13"
