This beautifully presented IR 300 was delivered new in 1968 to a pharmaceutical company based in Milan, and they would keep the car until 1973 when it passed to its second owner, a resident of the nearby province of Bergamo. He sold the car in 1978 to its third custodian, resident in Presezzo in the same province, where it would remain until 2007. Some two years ago, an enthusiast in southern Italy purchased the ISO and had it fully restored. This Grand Touring coupe now presents beautifully in light Blue metallic with black vinyl interior, while the 327ci V8 Chevrolet engine coupled with a manual gearbox, provides effortless power. A rare Italian-US hybrid (only 797 made) that has always stayed in Italy.
Carburettor and rear shock absorbers just rebuilt. Perfect all over.

Cette magnifique IR 300 fût livrée neuve en 1968 à une firme pharmaceutique de Milan qui conserva la voiture jusqu’en 1973 où elle passa aux mains d’un habitant de Bergame. Celui-ci vendit la voiture en 1978 à un résident de Presezzo dans la même province où elle demeura jusqu’en 2007. Il y a deux ans environ, un passionné du sud de l’Italie racheta l’auto et la fit entièrement restaurer. Ce coupé Grand Tourisme se présente donc maintenant dans un superbe état sous une livrée Bleu ciel métal avec intérieur en vinyle noir. Le V8 Chevrolet de 5, 4L accouplé à une boite manuelle lui apporte une puissance et des performances de très bon niveau. Le carburateur vient d’être refait ainsi que les amortisseurs arrière.
Cet hybride américano italienne est un modèle particulièrement rare puisque seulement 797 exemplaires en ont été produits. Combien en reste-t-il aujourd’hui dans un aussi bel état ?
