1965 Mk 1 Austin Mini Cooper S 1275 OEW / black roof
This is a genuine 1275 S that was exported in February 1965 to North America where it remained until last year when it returned to the UK and is now registered with a current V5 log book. According to the heritage certificate the car was built on the 7th January 1965 and came with a fresh air heater and twin fuel tanks, the original colour is OEW which is still evident on the inside of the car.
The body along with the subframes are solid with no rust and no further welding necessary and the car now has a new front end including both inner wings. The engine is currently out of the car and consists of a 1275 ‘S’ block and crank, the 333 box with correct outputs and the 163 head. The car still has wet suspension but may require one front displacer. Most parts are there to put the car back together but it will require a complete interior which I can supply separately consisting of Newton Commercial front recliners, door cards, rear seat coverings along with carpet.
Overall this is a genuine car with the original body shell that it left the factory with and requires no difficult panel work or welding so will appeal to someone who just wants to be able to dismantle, spray and put back together.
