With a heavy heart I have decided its time to sell our 1960 MGA Coupe, I have had this car for 4 years and it seems to always be pushed to the back of the restoration que . My interests are more vintage cars these days and I have two more cars to restore before this one so I think its time to let someone else have a go. I brought it in a stripped down state and ive welded new panels into the drivers side " new inner and outer sills , door shut and wing repair panels" ive made repair sections ready to let into the screen surrounds , started on the passenger side but then another vintage project came along and work stopped ! It comes with most of the new repair panels needed to finish off the body but there will be abit of fabrication left to do. I brought a new set of fiberglass wings that are included but also has the steel wings with it too , my plan was to create a light weight fast road spec car for historic rally tours, before I brought it the chassis and running gear had all been rebuilt , new brakes , pipes , bushes , painted and fitted. Its engine "needs assembly" has been rebored and lined back to standard , crank reground and balanced, new pistons , shells , full gasket set , new old stock original WORKS cam shaft ! I have the tuning book to build this engine to full works spec .. There is also new dizzy and lots of other new bits ready to fit .. comes with two bonnets and two gearbox's, logbook present , desirable reg number "918FOC"
