Here we have my stunning original spec 1965 Daimler V8 Automatic saloon finished in its original colour of opalescent metallic grey with blue leather.
I have owned this car for three years and enjoyed every moment including using it for my son’s wedding and a few others as well and more recently used as a static prop on a film set.
Due to its colour combination and condition I would suggest it has the potential to earn or contribute to its keep for weddings etc. if so desired.
The car drives very well and turns heads wherever we go and sounds lovely as only a V8 can through her twin stainless steel exhausts!! She also has factory power steering, which I would say is almost a must on these cars having owned / driven some without!
In my ownership she has had a complete brake overhaul Inc. callipers and discs and new suspension springs and bushes front and rear. A full set of 5 white wall tyres were fitted just before my ownershipits had electronic ignition and new silicone leads and carb overhaul this week .
The paint is lovely with no defects to speak off and she really gleams! The interior is in good condition with a lovely patina to the seats and woodwork, a new headlining was also fitted during my ownership. Underneath the car is rock solid with no corrosion issues to be concerned about. The chrome hubcaps and wheel trims are very good and the rest of the chrome is bright with some tarnishing to be expected. Inside everything works apart from the clock which is normal on these.
She is of course Tax and MOT exempt but has a current certificate until March which I would be more than happy to renew if required as there are no known issues with the car . Other than invoices in my ownership there is no other history with the car.
So there you have it, a lovely solid honest reliable car that I would be happy to jump in and drive anywhere! She is finished in a stunning colour combination and due to the relentless rising values of Mk2 Jaguars is a sure-fire investment. I am only advertising for sale due to the fact that I am fortunate enough to own a few classic cars and also have a Mk2 Jaguar. I recently also acquired an E Type and wish to raise funds to finance the improvements I wish to make to that.
I may be open to a part exchange for a cheaper interesting classic that is in good condition but not too expensive as I mentioned I really only wish to raise funds for the E Type.
