black coupe quattro
this was advertised before, but got withdrawn due to a change of heart, but now ive done all the extra work, she definatley has to go.. i can't justify keeping it any more.
(storage charges)
the good bits :-
all new underneath.
wishbones, tie rods . ball joints track rod ends etc.
new disks drilled n grooved. pads and rebuilt calpers front and rear.
new master cylinder.
fresh oil n filter.. new plugs.
injectors upgrade to 034 motorsport with all the hoses etc. (not cheap).
new inserts(bilstein)even better handling !!
winter tyres with less than 100 miles.
sports exhaust.
oz wheels.
s2 steering wheel
no rust and nice paint with only one or 2 little marks. no respray needed at all.
for a black car its remarkably in excellent shape for her age. and is a joy to look at. no laquer peel which is common on these cars. and still original paint exept one wing.
The interior is sound with no rips or tears... the drivers bolster is showing signs of wear but is not shabby at all
the dash and door card inserts have been replaced with tastefull trim and is much better than the usuall wood look.
all the dials and guages work as they should. as do the windows and heater etc.
the roof lining is not brilliant but not ugly by any stretch. but would benefit from a replenishment.. this is not expensive from a decent upholsterer.
it comes with a good service history and has been looked after and not abused.
she drives lovley with no issues and certainly turns heads in looks and noise. whilst still remaining subtle and unassuming.
will certainly get up and go when called for... and some !!
it will definatley not dissapoint.
But if your looking at this you already know what this model is about. very rare and an appreciating classic.
with a bit more than the average.
will come with a new MOT.
the bad bits:-
not really anything major to be honest as i i've lived with them throughout my ownership 6 yrs or so. and no driving issues are effected.
but i will mention them.
the rear wash wipe does not work nor does the heated rear screen. (i have a spare motor)
i will presume this is isolated to the boot lid.. as everything else works.. ive never investigated it. they seldom get dirty due to the aero design. even when raining it stays clear.
i took the stereo out as the previous owner had wired it up so that it discharged the battery.
i think it still drains so i assume a wiring issue is in need of investigation. could be related to the boot i dont know ... but it has no effect on every day driving.
a decent auto electrician will find it in no time.. it was my last ."to do "..
The computer tells me that the brake fluid is empty.. its not, and is a new reservoir. i can only assume its not the correct replacement .. only in the sensor compatability... the brakes certainly work correctly and is full of new fluid and was one that is a direct replacement.
the old one worked fine... it got replaced with the new master cylinder.
the cambelt was changed when i bought it by the previous owner.. i have done probably 8k miles since purchase... she has stood for 2 years, with the occasional buzz around the block to keep her tip top..
personally i would change it for peace of mind... if the asking price is achieved i will have a new one and all the other parts fitted ! water pump and tensioner..
i am informed there is still plenty of life in it and should be no issues... i have only mentioned it as its not in regular use.
this car is a must see and will do anyone proud with a very small amount of effort if any to make her perfect.
this is a very reluctant sale,
I am an enthusiast and had several of these for over 15yrs, i would prefere her to go to someone who is an enthusiast and will treat her correctly.
i have considered all the other 20v that have come up over time,
All of which are far from perfect and all need extensive work to make good. etc.
so by comparison i think mine being a very desireable colour and in super condition, certainly in superior condition to the alternatives around.
The price i will ask is £5000. 00
i know what its worth and im not desperate to sell it.
so no tyre kickers, joy riders or cheeky offers please.
Also i will only sell to a real person who view's the car.
