The BMW R6 was sold in the German market in 1937, a year after the R5 model, in both models BMW launched a new generation of chassis structures that caused a stir at international level, BMW presented the machine as a total turn, the BMW's first 600 cc displacement engine associated with a 4-speed gearbox.
