Descrizione
The Range Rover Classic is a 4x4, mid-size Sport utility vehicle series produced initially by the Rover (later Land Rover) division of British Leyland, and latterly the Rover Group from 1970 to 1996. The first generation of vehicles produced under the Range Rover name, it debuted as a 2-door; a 4-door became available in 1981, with the 2-door phased out in January 1994. For most of its history it was known simply as the "Range Rover"; Land Rover coined the term "Range Rover Classic" to distinguish it from the P38A which succeeded it when the two were briefly built alongside, and applied the name retrospectively to all first-generation Range Rovers
Delivered new by St Helier Garages on the 15th June 1990. This remarkably original high spec Range Rover Vogue SE has remained with the original owner for the last twenty nine years, more unusual is the fact that it was maintained by the same technician from PDI until 2010 and perhaps later. It has been maintained regardless with fully documented service book history until 178168 miles. We are awaiting the invoices thereafter and it has continued to be regularly serviced until recently. New brakes, tyres, exhaust are all evident on inspection.
The Vogue SE is in good original condition, well serviced as the records will confirm, the floors again are in excellent condition, the bodywork is very solid which no major rust problems, save some light surface rust on the window frames and door tops which we can attend to on behalf of the next owner.
As described the bodywork is good original condition with minor works required to isolated areas of surface rust, the interior is good original condition, and overall the Vogue represents a very good original vehicle worthy of further expenditure. The floors may have been replaced, as they are in very solid condition. The interior is original, a small of attention to the leather driver’s seat which has a taped repair, the rear headlining has a slight sag to the rear, the sun roof needs attention, as it is presently taped shut.
A well maintained, high spec Range Rover with service book records from PDI in 1990 to 2000 carried out by the supplying dealer and then Land Rover specialist, all of the work being carried out by the same technician, who moved job when the original dealership changed.
