Fully restored BMW K75RT
I bought bike new Dec 1992, then had opportunity to buy back 4 years ago.
Bike was stripped right back with following work done
Engine
Internally not touched ( apart from new oil air filet, engine oil and deionised water on completion )
Externally fully cleaned and repainted in correct matt black
Cylinder head rocker cover and crank covers both removed, repainted and reinstated with new gaskets
Front timing chain cover ( one that gets pitted most ) , replaced new old stock item
Water / Oil pump - new impeller, shaft seals replaced
New fuel injector seals
Radiator , complete internal clean and descale
Drivetrain
Gearbox
Internally not touched ( new oil on completion )
Externally - split from engine, cleaned and repainted
reinstated back to engine using correct stretch bolts , New clutch installed
shaft drive inspected , re greased and reinstated
Rear gear assembly
split from shaft , painted and reinstated ( new oil on completion )
Electrics
Removed from frame , thoroughly inspected and cleaned
Headlight upgraded to HiD system
Frame
Soda blasted , along with additional metal work and painted in black
Head stock bearings replaced with new
Brakes
2 front and rear caliper sent to external specialist for strip down, inspection and fully rebuilt ( new seals and pistons ) , repainted in black
All break lines upgrade with Goodrich braided hoses , the original ABS is disconnected but braking still via ABS pumps to remain integrity and aesthetics of originality
front and read discs replaced 4k before I had reacquired bike , none rota so ABS sensor pickup is not required
both ABS sensors again on bike for originality
Seat
Bike is converted to low seat setting ( BMW accessory ) , hence side panels are not required , replaced by rubber tank/ seat insert
Main and Side Stand
Replaced new/ old stock , all spring retainers replaced
Fairing / Tank / Plastics
All repainted in BMW spec colour 670
All assembly brackets replaced with new
New Baglux tank cover
New old stock Windshield
Immaculate panniers
New graphics sourced
New Battery installed within last 6 months
Tyre very good
List is endless, buyer will not be disappointed
