For sale in our forthcoming auction in Paris, on 27 october 2019
Italian title
Frame n°CF11625
Launched in 1950, the 500 Falcone is the Italian single-cylinder motorcycle by excellence. It equipped the police and gendarmerie until Moto Guzzi withdraws it from its catalog in order to concentrate its production on the V-twin. In 1969, the company restarted the Falcone to meet the military needs. The 498 cc engine develops 27 hp. It is now fitted with an electric ignition. The frame is inspired by the one on the V7 Sport. In 1971, Guzzi launches the rare civilian version. Only 2, 874 units were produced, including the one we are offering here. The bike is presented in a good overall condition with its lovely white and red livery. Displaying 61, 518 km on the odometer, this motorcycle was restored 10 years ago in the region of Reggio Emilia.
We are very proud to present this very moving collection. All the motorcycles reflect a man's passion for different brands and generations of two-wheelers. The ones that made him dream as a child in the 1940s and 1950s, as well as those he enjoyed riding, such as the BMWs and Guzzis. The original condition and low mileage of most of the motorcycles of the collection will certainly catch the attention of demanding collectors.
We inform buyers that the entire collection consists of motorcycles that were, for the most part, left unused for years in a private museum. They are therefore sold as they are and are to be restored and/ or recommissioned.
We advise all potential buyers to check the file of each motorcycle to obtain all information regarding the registration process in their countries.
