1987 BMW M535i (e28) A Rare manual investment, Beautifully Restored in original Malachite Green.
The car has undergone a restoration to a high standard in Northampton by Classic Legends (Dominic). With 11 months MOT, ready to enjoy.

UK right-hand drive, electric Wing mirrors, electric Sunroof, electric front and back windows, Adjustable front head restraints, Front seat belts, Rear central armrest, rear electric stereo aerial, manual rear blind, spare keys.
EXTERIOR
This glorious manual is finished in the rare classic BMW colour of Malachite Green. The meticulous restoration of this rare RHD example was carried in 2018-2019. The body was completely stripped and re-metalled where necessary. Then, with all glass out, it was fully repainted to the very high standard in which it remains today. The coachwork retains a superb finish throughout, free from any unsightly blemishes or corrosion; the trim is in fine order too and is largely original. The bumpers present with an excellent mirror shine having been renewed during restoration. Photographs taken during the restoration process are present in the history file.
INTERIOR
The cabin space is positively charming with Original Beige Cloth Interior, the finish largely original having been subject to a full refresh and deep clean. The interior was redied and refreshed. The dash was removed and replaced. The carpets are original however deep cleaned and the boot area also particularly clean and tidy with original carpet.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
It might not be a proper M car, but even so it’s powered by a 3. 5-liter straight-six engine that produces 215hp and 229lb-ft of torque, which is more than enough for a saloon of this period to make the driver happy all the time.
During restoration the engine was serviced and electrical issues resolved. The original engine required no additional work. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via manual rare 5 speed gearbox. The engine and gear box work and sound awesome.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 17-inch wheels remain in very good order, correctly finished with smart polished embellishers and the original BMW hubcaps. The front and rear brakes have been serviced. The original set of alloys are with the car, they are in good condition with metric tyres and can be purchased separately or be swapped over with current alloys.
HISTORY FILE
This 1987 M535i has seen just 9 previous owners from new. The current keeper, an avid collector and restorer of historic BMWs, carried out the restorative work with numerous photographs detailing the process. The car starts and drives and does not skip a beat. The are has 149500 original miles on the clock(roughly). The car comes with a lot of paperwork and service history.
Couple of bad bits
One headlight washer jet wiper is not working which I have already ordered the motor for and it needs a full bmw tool kit in the boot which i am currently sourcing.
BMW M535i
The M535i was the first truly quick 5-Series saloon, unashamedly designed to appeal to well-heeled boy racers who needed room for for and a maximum speed of more than 140mph. Although it wasn't strictly an M5, the BMW Motorsport division’s first sporting 5-Series was a template for the legendary M5 series of cars.
The car can be inspected by appointment and I can also arrange a ramp for up to 30 minutes at my expense in Oldbury, Birmingham, B69.
