Rare Unipower GT for sale with extensive competition history from new. Built at the factory in December 1966 as a Competition model with a 1293 Downton Cooper S engine and S disc brakes all round. Shown at the Racing Car Show in January 1967 with Stirling Moss, first owner Jan Odor who's Janspeed concern prepared and raced the car throughout 1967 with BMC works driver Geoff Mabbs at the wheel, including the inaugural Spanish Grand Prix at Jarama. Owned and run by Cars and Car Conversions magazine in 1968.
Restored and raced in Belgium in the late 90s and reimported to the UK in 2013.
Now back in Janspeed livery with a freshly built 1293 Cooper S engine on a 45 Weber and Janspeed inlet, JK dogbox.
A very rare and original historic car, chassis number nine of only 72 cars built in London between 1966 and 1970. Now road registered with current V5C and a comprehensive history file including many race photos, race reports, programmes and 60s magazine features.
