I have for sale a unique and rare factory built Right Hand Drive Superformance MKIII Shelby Cobra with a Ford 302 V8 with 4 barrel Holley carburetor and 5 speed manual gearbox.
The Superformance MKIII is the only Cobra built under license from Carroll Shelby Licensing Inc.
What makes the MKIII so much better than its competitors? It looks like an exact replica should. It is sure-footed, reliable and is as exciting as the great sport roadsters of the sixties.
This particular Cobra was featured at the 2004 Auto Africa show; it has also won numerous awards from the South Africa Cobra Club and various South African classic car shows. Not only does this vehicle have an extremely rare paint colour, which I believe may be the only one in the world out of the Superformance Factory; but it also has a very special VIN number starting with AC and ending in 1965. A further benefit for the UK market is that it is titled as a 1965 Historic.

Ford 302 cubic inch cast iron block V8 with 4 barrel Holley carburetor, (K&N racing filters), Oil cooler

Original Chrome side pipes with thermo wrap around manifold (reduced engine bay heat by 40 degrees)

Thunderbird Limited slip diff

Willwood vented disk brakes

Magnesium Hallibrand knock-off style wheels

Front - Goodyear Eagle GT2 tires, 255/ 60, 15 inch
Rear - Goodyear Eagle GT2 tires, 275/ 60, 15 inch
Chassis:
Square tube custom built Superformance (#SP00965)
Steering:
Rack and pinion. Original style steering wheel.
Front suspension:
Independent, double wishbone, fully adjustable with AVO coilovers
Rear suspension:
Independent with AVO coilovers
Interior:
Handmade seats upholstered in German specification automotive leather. Fully carpeted floor, centre console, sides and rear firewall. Slide adjusters for driver's seat. Comes with Soft top (No side windows) and tonneau cover
Instrumentation / Controls:
Original style instruments manufactured by Smiths of England. Hand crafted original style shifter with T bar. Polished stainless steel handbrake lever.
Pedal Box:
Fabricated steel plate pedal box assembly which incorporates brake booster and master cylinder
assembly with hydraulic clutch actuation.
