2000 X JAGUAR XKR 4. 0 CONVERTIBLE
Finished in Indigo Blue Metallic with a contrasting Ivory leather interior this stunning looking XKR has had just 2 former keepers from new, the last owner having it for almost 11 years before part exchanging it this week for a much newer model.
It has covered 105000 warranted miles from new and has one of the best service records I have ever seen on a car. The original service book contains sixteen stamps from new, all by Jaguar Main Dealers or Specialists and was last serviced less than 1000 miles ago in October 2019 at a cost of £1750 which included new top wishbones on the front suspension, replacement lambda sensor, abs sensor, new ball joints and bushes on front suspension, large service including all filters and an mot. There has been some very significant expenditure on this car over the years and it truly has been maintained mechanically without cost. Every service in the book barring a couple of early ones has a corresponding invoice and all the old MOT’s and road tax reminders are present also. In 2016 it had the catalytic converter replaced as well as all the brake pipes also at a cost of nearly £2000. At the end of 2017 was the whopper! £5250 spent with a Jaguar specialist who has undertaken many works on the car over the years , this included removing the front subframe and replacing 2 sections of the chassis due to corrosion (this is a real achilles heel for these cars as some of you will know) it also had new wheel bearings, ball joints, brake callipers, brake hoses, discs and pads all round, front suspension stripped down and rebuilt, new brake hoses, new shocks front and rear, full service and new coil packs before the underside was fully undersealed. It has only covered 10000 miles since all these works were completed and as you can imagine for such a well maintained vehicle drives absolutely fantastic, there are no warning lights present either.
We have priced this vehicle significantly below market value as it wants a few minor jobs to make it perfect and we have a very large workload in our workshops currently. Once these are done you will have brilliant car that is mechanically excellent driving well and with all the expensive jobs this cars often need already taken care of by someone else at their expense!
Works required are as follows:
both sills require two new pieces welding on the rear (only on the flat section right at the bottom, they will then require re stone guarding (I would budget £300 to £350 to do this properly)
nearside rear wing has some corrosion below the paint right at the very bottom (very hard to see in the picture as it is only very light, to do it correctly it wants cutting out and replacing properly - budget £250 including paint)
alloy wheels have some marks in the paint although the chrome rims have already been replaced at huge expense!
rear parking sensors work intermittently, will require a sensor replacing as they never all fail
