The Appeal
The manual-gearbox XJS is one of the rarer variants of Jaguar's legendary tourer. With the factory five-speed paired to the 4.0-litre AJ6 engine, it offers a level of driver engagement that the automatic can't quite match - an invigorating drive indeed. It is estimated that only around 200 manual 4.0-litre examples were ever sold in North America.
This 1994 Cabrio comes to us in a fine Black-over-Black. Having spent its entire life in North Carolina, it's also benefited from a dry climate. The bodywork has recently been professionally polished and detailed, while inside, Jaguar seat covers have helped preserve the leather over the years.
Mechanically, the vendor reports the car drives very well. The engine is said to run smoothly, the gearbox is reported to shift correctly, and the suspension is described as feeling solid and comfortable.image.png3.48 MB
