Description
This is definitely a unique car and an eye-catcher which sounds amazing.
Normally all Audi 100 Coupe S are front wheel drive and has a 4-cylinder engine, this one is now a rear wheel drive with a reliable and very powerful Lexus 4L V8 engine (1UZ) with minimum 191kw (see below), and a Jaguar rear axle. The exterior is done in Gulf racing theme.
These cars were light. The normal weight is just 1100kg. Of course due to the different axle and engine the car is heavier but the acceleration is impressive.
The standard instruments were not showing the correct figurers hence the use of newer instruments are to show the correct readings, the correct speed, rpm and temperature. This is required when doing any form of racing. The old gauges are not available.
The fuel tank is in the trunk. She has bucket seats and racing seatbelts. Get attention wherever you go. She was used for hill climbs and built for this purpose. She needs a new home to keep these wheels rolling!
The conversion was done by the 2nd owner when the car had less than 90000km on the clock. The person used the car for hill climbs. The car was then traded in and kept for few years by a Dealer in Worcester. The previous owner purchased the car early in 2017 and had the interior, exterior and needed services done. The big service with cam-belt was done in February 2019, about 400 km ago. No maintenance backlog. Recent transmission fluid and engine oil change.
The frowned upon Lexus UZ engine family is a Gasoline fuelled 32-valve quad-camshaft V8 piston engine series used in Toyota's luxury offerings and sport utility vehicles The 4. 0 L; 242. 1 cu in (3968 ccm) all-alloy 1UZ-FE debuted in 1989 in the first generation Lexus LS 400/ Toyota Celsior and the engine was progressively released across a number of other models in the Toyota/ Lexus range. It has proved to be a strong, reliable and smooth power plant with features such as 6-bolt main bearings and belt-driven quad-camshafts. The water pump is also driven by the cam belt. The connecting rods and crankshaft are constructed of steel. The pistons are hyper-eutectic.
In its standard, original trim with 10. 0:1 compression, power output is 191 kW (256 hp; 260 PS), torque of 353 Nm.
The engine was slightly revised in 1995 with lighter connecting rods and pistons and an increased compression ratio to 10. 4:1 resulting in peak power of 195 kW (261 hp; 265 PS) at 5, 400 rpm and torque of 365 Nm at 4, 400 rpm.
The original steering wheel is sold with the car.
