This car has recently undergone a comprehensive, no expense spared, two year restoration and is among the very best examples around.
So much work has been done on the car it is difficult to list it all!
It has been resprayed in its original colour; Jade Green Metallic and rebadged. Seats have been retrimmed in two-tone leather with red piping, new switches, new door cards (trims), window winders and door seals, new stereo/ cd player. The engine has had an overhaul including cam-belt, new fuel hoses, front shock absorbers, battery, front headlamp lift-motors, relays, front side/ indicator lights, copper brake pipes, O/ S door handle; locking mechanism, front driving spot lamps.
The wheels are the top of the range KN diamond cut alloys, powdercoated with a new set of tyres. The chassis is galvanised (so no rust!). The 1. 4 L engine is a Ford CVH unit, front mounted driving the rear wheels through a four-speed gearbox. The suspension is independent all round using coil springs with semi trailing arms at the rear. The body panels are made of polyurethane or glass reinforced polyester, fitted to a semi space-frame backbone chassis. The panels were designed to be easily removed and replaced to repair accident damage. It is fitted with a removable hard top (with sunroof) and comes with a brand new soft-top ready to be fitted to the overhauled frame. The car drives very nicely indeed and there is a HUGE history file going back many years.
It has incredible road holding, and a wonderful exhaust note from its Powerflow stainless steel exhaust system.
