Here for sale is my beloved 2014 (NC3) 2. 0 Mazda MX5 Sport Tech Recaro Roadster. Finished in Brilliant Black, it is 1 of just 48 Recaro Edition models in the UK which makes it one of the rarest UK MX5’s to date and a scarce site on British roads.
First registered 23/ 03/ 2014, I am the third owner and bought the car in November 2018 from Auto Devotion in Ipswich. A couple of weeks into ownership, I had it undersealed with 3M Body Schutz by R2 Automotive to protect the underside of the car from rust. Furthermore, to keep the car in good condition, during my ownership it has been kept garaged, only to be used as a weekend or fair-weather car and as such, it is in very presentable condition both inside and out.
From factory the car has a good specification which includes the following features:

Prior to my ownership the car was serviced as follows:
17/ 03/ 2016 at 13190 miles by FRF Mazda (main agent)
01/ 06/ 2017 at 22206 miles by FRF Mazda (main agent)
09/ 08/ 2018 at 25683 miles by Auto Devotion
The last MOT was passed with zero advisories on 31/ 07/ 2019 and with about 2 months remaining before it is due again, if the asking price is met, I will put another 12 months on it.
I have serviced the car myself and kept the invoices to show the parts and consumables used. I have completed the following:
02/ 03/ 2019 at 27165 miles. Engine oil and filter, gearbox oil, rear differential oil, spark plugs.
06/ 03/ 2020 at 30788 miles. Engine oil and filter.
Further to the car’s standard specification, during my ownership I have also modified the car to increase its performance and, in my opinion, improve the driving experience. The performance of the car is now very comparable to MX5’s with the well-known BBR 200 Package and the modifications are as follows.
• Skuzzle Motorsport Fast Road Package:
For those of you that don’t already know, Skuzzle Motorsport are a very highly regarded MX5 tuning specialist in Hampshire. They are trusted to maintain and modify MX5’s of all generations (as well as other cars) due to their fantastic reputation and excellent knowledge. The fast road package they fitted to this car included an I. L Motorsport 4 to 1 manifold, their own Skuzzle cold air intake with Ram Air filter and an EcuTek remap to get the most out of the modifications. With these modifications and the two other exhaust alterations below, the car made an impressive 171. 6bhp at the wheels on the dyno. This figure equates to roughly 205bhp at the crank and subsequently the car is noticeably faster than standard.
• Goodwin Racing Helmholtz Exhaust Centre Section with 200 Cell Sports Cat.
• BBR GTi Grand Tourer Rear Silencer
• I. L Motorsport front and rear anti roll bars.
If any of these modifications aren’t to your taste then I do still have all of the original parts which will be included in the sale for anyone who wants them.
This is a fantastic car and I will be very sad to see it go, it really has been my pride & joy and as you can see, I have spent a lot of money on it during my ownership. Unfortunately, the reason for sale is that I am looking to purchase a property and need to go back to running just 1 car.
