1963 AUSTIN-HEALEY 3000 MK2 BT7 (FOUR SEATER MODEL)
This lovely British Sports car was built from 1959 to 1967 and is the best known of the big Healey models. The 3 litre 150bhp 3000 was a highly successful car, which won its class in many European rallies in its heyday and is still raced in classic car competitions today. This example is finished in signal red with full cream leather trim piped in red and is in excellent restored condition. The car was purchased brand new by the owner of the famous Torquay Palace Hotel on 7th March 1963, the second owner was Mr Fox in 1972 and the third and final owner Mr Greenfield in 1986. This much cherished car has been in the same ownership for the past 33 years and is for sale due only to the sad demise of the last owner. Interestingly, Mr Greenfield made it his business to replace the age-related registration number that adorned the vehicle when he purchased it, with the original one of 318 TOD which is included in the sale. The vehicle is both MoT and tax exempt. Features include, full hood and sidescreens, wire wheels, vertical barred grille, tonneau cover.
The history folder includes current and previous V5s, previous MoT certificates from 1986, original sales invoice from 1986, MoT inspection reports, original buff coloured registration document, original service book, passport to service booklet, radiomobile car radio instruction booklet, previous battery guarantee, DVLA documentation, correspondence, tax disc holders and old tax discs dating from 1999, invoices totalling circa £21000 for maintenance and restoration, insurance documentation, tracker information booklet, valuation certificate, NU repairer handbook, collectors car policy, windscreen info, Austin-Healey Club registration document, wheel alignment certificate, Drivers Handbook, original 1963 sales and service document holder, Peter Farmer performance racing letters and compliment slip, letters to DVLA, ordnance survey maps covering Bournemouth, Salisbury, Wiltshire and Devon, Owners Workshop manual, Wikipedia information, gov. uk information, correspondence and a Austin-Healey 3000 magazine article.
