Moto Guzzi Lodola 235 GT 1960
A beautiful Moto Guzzi Lodola 235 GT 1960 registered as a Historic vehicle UK V5 with 49274 km on the clock. Mileage cannot be verified but the bike has been well maintained & serviced prior to a sympathetic restoration, so still retaining a great patina & is in great shape, the engine has had a full overhaul, service & has only covered 274 km since.
If you’re fed up with trying to kick start your big Brit bike or your knees are shot like mine or you just fancy a little Italian then the Lodola is for you. It is a lightweight, easy to manoeuvre, very easy to start bike & will happily cruise at 60mph all-day long. It also has the heel-toe gear shifter on the right-hand side for the Brit bike lovers.
An Ideal bike for those summer evening trips & those longer weekend club runs.
Additional information: - Carlo Guzzi’s final design, the “Lodola” arrived in 1956, and it broke with Guzzi tradition in that its 175cc SOHC single cylinder 4 stroke was inclined at 45° in a twin cradle frame, rather than lying flat. The Lodola combined adequate performance with excellent fuel economy and sound handling. A Sport version followed and in 1959 the model was enlarged to 235cc, becoming the Lodola Gran Turismo. The pushrod valve operation was adopted for the bigger engine which produced 11bhp at 6, 500rpm & good for a top speed of about 70mph. Production ended in 1966 after a total of about 10, 000 Lodolas had been built.
This is not a show bike & was imported from Italy. If you would like the photos emailed or any additional photos just drop me a line.
