For sale is my extremely rare Gilbern Invader mkIII, 3 litre V6 with a manual gearbox and overdrive, in the most desirable colour, red.
This is a great opportunity to own a superb car, well-known to the Gilbern Owners Club, winning the Cyril Ward Cup (awarded to the most significant Gilbern outside the Concours event) and featured on the cover of Retro Car magazine.
The car is very solid and in great condition with the chassis benifited from being checked by Gilbern guru Philip Ivimey. It comes with a vast history file. The interior is complete and has been fitted with a safety roll cage, which can easily be removed if not required and sits on Halibrand replica wheels. I also have a number of parts that will be included with the sale, including the original red bonnet.
The engine is a smooth-running Ford Essex 3 litre V6 petrol. This is the same engine that was fitted in the Ford Capri, Granada and many more. My car also benefits from a Capri mk 2 rear limited slip differential and gearbox that adds to the overall drive and handling of the car. I have recently replaced the fuel tanks with a bespoke aluminum tank for added peace of mind.
