We are selling this 1991 964 Carrera 2 Targa exactly as it arrived here with us from its long-term lady owner. Reflected in the asking price, this is a 964 which has been driven and enjoyed; use it as it is, or improve should you wish and as you choose.
Nicely original and unmodified. Although the Guards red paint is faded, the body is straight with good gaps and no sign of accident repair or corrosion. 17” Design 90 alloys and flag door mirrors.
The black interior is tidy, as is the Targa roof and door trims. The dash is good with no sign of splitting or sun damage. Clear dials. Black leather seats are original without obvious wear and tear.
It starts on the button, drives really well and the air cooled 3. 6 sounds great.
Accompanied by a large history folder and original books, official Porsche 'Letter of Origin' showing matching chassis and engine numbers. 2 keys and original spare wheel.
Japanese supplied RHD (C18), covering just 65, 000 km in 12 years and 8 service stamps with Japanese main Porsche centres. It then made its way to New Zealand in 2003, where there are further records, service stamps (7) and Warrant of Fitness certificates (NZ equivalent of our MOT’s).
The current owners purchased the 964 in New Zealand in late 2012 with approximately 159, 000 km. They used it there for several years before bringing it with them to the UK in 2016. They have also used it regularly for trips to the South Western region of France.
Now with 189, 751 km (117, 906 miles), it is UK registered.
We are selling this Targa ‘as is’; a Grade 2 driver quality classic, without our usual Warranty. It is typical of 964 of this age and mileage, although this particular car has not been spruced up or made ‘shiny’ on the surface. It’s not perfect, but it is perfectly serviceable and usable.
