Beskrivning
I have recently purchased this little Peugeot from an auction in the south of France. It is a 1935 201d and as you can see it is a very original example having spent all it's life down near Toulouse. It is almost complete with just the clock missing as far as I can see. The rest of the dash is complete including the glass ashtray. All the brakes appear to be free and work ok. The structure is very good for it's age with a very good chassis, all the floors are good and the only rust is at the bottom of the outer bulkhead panels at the bottom of the A pillar. The doors are good and open and close well. As you can see it has had a hatchback conversion at some point which has been done properly by a coach builder. The drop down tailgate needs repair to the frame and the top will also need work, but they both open and close ok. The interior is poor and needs total restoration. At the moment the engine is seized but I have the head off and the bores look good so I will gently free it off and hopefully have it running before too long. There is no carte gris but I do have all the auction paperwork and have started the ball rolling to get a dating certificate to register it. The NOVA has been done and no tax was due. I have too many classics at the moment so something has to go. I am in no rush and will keep working on this one when I get a chance.
