Beschreibung
The Alpina B11 3. 5 is a true rarity, with a production run of 332 units. Our car, chassis 0179, is one of the 24 examples imported new in France. Imported by the famous Garage du BAC, it was delivered to its first and only owner in 1988. In the space of 32 years, this B11 was faithful to its sole and only owner, a former private detective, accompanying him in each of his spinning mills. Preserved in its original state, this Alpina is a real leap in time and takes you back to the end of the 80's: MC Solar cassette, yellow headlights, original registration in "75"... It's all there.
Unlike most other B11s, this one has the flocked fabric seats with their Green and Blue stripes. What's the reason for this? The former owner will tell you: "At Alpina, they advised against leather seats, simply because in sporty driving, you would find yourself in a flash in the right seat!". An important detail for our detective when you have to follow a Paris-Lyon TGV on the road, just like the manual gearbox, which is indispensable for appreciating the 3. 5-litre engine at its true value. The car hasn't changed since it was delivered: the period tool kit is complete and ready to use, the original spare wheel too, the fabrics, the radio, cassette player, steering wheel, paintwork, etc. In short, no modifications for the Drift if you know what I mean...
The "Garage du BAC" service book is filled in until 1997, for the rest the invoices take over. The BMW operating manual is still there, as well as the Alpina documentation. For those who know us, at Mecanicus we like reading and documentation, but also invoices and other "Period Correct" paperwork. This is why you can find among the "pile" of invoices, the car order form, the purchase invoice and, of course, the first "provisional" vehicle registration document, you know the one that is given to you before obtaining the final vehicle registration document.
