- The very unique but rarely seen Starfire made its debut in the late 50s but didn't become its own series until 1961. These cars have a really cool look and we are surprised we don't see them more often at car shows. Their long trim, dual double taillights and and body lines are just so unnique.
- The rear finders still have lines reminiscent of fins and the front has pointed edges with a very cool integrated grill and bumper. The first year was convertible only but in 1962 like the car you see here a hardtop was introduced.
- This 62 Starfire is a nice car and has lived with its current owner for over 20 years.
- The body is painted its original burgundy paint which is nicely accented by the Starfires wide trim that spans the length of the whole body.
- All of the chrome and stainless is in good shape and shines nicely.
-The windshield is tinted and all of the glass looks good. It has dummy spotlights on each side which give it a nice look.
- The car has a great stance and looks perfect with the spoke hubcaps and Hankook thin white wall tires.
- It also comes with a set of the original hubcaps which were painted but the paint is chipping off a bit.
- The original motor has been swapped out with a GM 350 motor that runs great.
- It is fitted with an Edelbrock 4 barrel car, Edelbrock manifold, Edelbrock valve covers, Edelbrock air cleaner, and an Accel distributor.
- It has also had a pusher and puller electric fan to eliminate any heating concerns.
- The transmission is a Turbo 200 automatic that shifts smoothly and sends power back to the original rear end.
- The interior is a matching Burgundy and is all stock except for the addition of an underdash gauge pod for temp/ oil/ amp.
- It has dual bucket seats up front which sit to each side of the original center console which houses a storage area, the shifter and a tachometer.
- In back is a bench seat with an elevated center section that leads to the very cool Starfire emblem.
- The dash features all of the original gauges, knobs, switches and radio.
- The trunk offers plenty of storage space and houses a spare and jack set up.
- This is a really neat car and you don't see very many of them around.
- It has a good clear title and is ready for a new home!
