Description
Advert TT Rep 1929
1929 600cc Scott TT Replica. Restored over the past eighteen months, with all worn or defective components replaced or renovated (This is the ninth vintage Scott I have rebuilt over the years).
The engine has been overhauled by a well-known Scott specialist, who rebored it, fitted new pistons and rings, main, big end and small end bearings, and a Moss crankcase seal conversion. He has provided a detailed work sheet recording tolerances and work done.
The gear box has close-medium ratios, appropriate to this model, and the clutch has been re-lined. The Scott forks have been re-bushed and front wheel rebuilt. Chains and tyres are new. Both compartments of the tank have been thoroughly cleaned and lined with Tapox ethanol-proof sealant.
The restoration has aimed as far as possible to preserve originality and apart from the paint and powder-coating has not concealed the 90 years of service the bike has seen since it left the factory. (See photos)
The V5C is in my name.
