A four seat roadster manufactured in 1951, this is the 4AB model which has the later refinements of hydraulic front brakes and independent front suspension. Presented in superb show quality condition with the complete factory tool kit under the bonnet. The car spent a good part of its life in a car museum before being sold to the previous owner in 1997, who decided even though the car was in first class condition to take the car to a new level, and a chassis up restoration was commenced in 2000 (last tax disc in file). After completing the chassis and suspension with new springs, brakes bushes etc., the engine, gearbox and back axle were reconditioned., Sadly at this point he passed away, and I purchased the car in 2013 through the ASCO club magazine.
The body was dismantled, resprayed and rebuilt, every part being reconditioned or replaced with extreme attention to detail and extensive use of stainless steel fixings throughout, completed in 2018.
Spotless underneath, sealed and injected with Dinitrol rust prevention products. Fitted with a by-pass oil filter system, electric fuel pump, period after market boot rack, hand operated spot light and chrome wheel rings. Full weather equipment:- Hood, side screens, hood cover and tonneau cover. Workshop manuals, history file, heritage certificate books etc., and tool kit. Any inspection invited.
