In the 1930s they produced three-wheel delivery vans then after the war Count Giuseppe Boselli from Milan saw the need for economical transport and started manufacturing motorcycles. Along with other manufacturers such as Augusta, F B Mondial knew the way to be recognised in Italy was through road racing and straight from the start they produced some of the best, most technically advanced motorbike engines of the day. Their revolutionary DOHC 125cc racers of the late 1940s and early 1950s put the F B Mondial name at the top of the Grand Prix racing scene. Their production road bikes were built using that typical Italian design flair which when combined with some of their racing technology fulfilled the design brief of a quality, workmanlike, long lasting motorbike.
Condition: This Mondial Lusso was fully restored some years ago and came to the current owner from a large collection. It has not been used since and will require recommissioning prior to going back on the road. The speedometer is missing but the rest of the bike appears original and complete. These small Italian bikes are becoming very popular with the collectors now due to their affordability and can increasingly be seen at all the bike shows.
