1979 FJ40 Landcruiser. Original 2F 4. 2L petrol engine with original 3 speed box. A genuine RHD 2F FJ40 not a conversion. This is the second series of 2F with barn doors, opening rear side quarterlights, the floor mounted handbrake and petrol tank under the deck, as opposed to in the cabin, so more leg room for taller drivers. Original Japanese VIN plate. Power steering. Freelock hubs at the front. Original Toyota 15 inch split rim steel wheels with Bridgestone Dueller MT tyres, hardly used, even tread. Spare is unused. Very clean underneath with a really lovely chassis and floorpans. No oil drips, rust or damage that I can see... please come and take a look for yourself. Dune beige, a period Toyota colour, looks gorgeous. Has had a new speedometer 400ish miles ago (total mileage unknown), a new carburettor and a recent new wiring loom and rewire throughout just prior to my ownership. Re-trimmed in dark grey. Has the original huge drum brakes all round which pull her up well from speed. Sold new in Japan and exported into Asia. Any professional inspection welcome. Still has the jack and rh rear barn door wiring cover - which is usually missing on these! MOT and TAX exempt. Super fun to drive. Open to genuine offers as I would like to sell before the summer.
