In 1965 the European Ford decided to put an innovative coupe car on site, for the fulfillment of which, however, a few years of study and preparation were needed.
Meanwhile, the competing, national and foreign houses, earned ground in the sports cars sector which, as limited in sales numbers, had very important reflexes on the brand image.
It was therefore necessary to find a temporary solution that allowed the Ford to maintain their sports prestige, at least until the realization of the new "Capri" model.
The solution to the problem was identified in talling the OSI of Turin for the realization of a Coupé car, based on platform and mechanics of "20 m TS", to be proposed for the German market.
In a few months of work, the OSI presented the definitive prototype, with a typically Italian livery designed by Sergio Sartorelli [1], which was immediately approved by the Ford executives and exhibited at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show.
This is a four-seat coupe whose performance, despite the aggressive line, do not differ particularly from those of the model from which it descends, especially for the quality of the road holding, which is an unusual passage for a sports car
