Description
Chrysler 300c 5. 7 litre v8 hemi 2005 with low mileage, very good history and one previous owner.
this will probably be the best you will find now and anytime soon.
most of these cars are either previously insurance write offs, high mileage, faulty, post 23/ 03/ 2006 registered (high road tax) or a combination of these.
always ask if this is the case before viewing, you get what you pay for...
any inspection you will not be disappointed bring aa/ rac with you.
the 2005 model year is what started the chrysler/ dodge/ jeep modern muscle car era with the legendary series three 5. 7 hemi motor.
if you are a genuine buyer reading this advert you probably already know that hemi’s registered before 23rd march 2006, as this one is, avoids the annual £600 gas guzzling tax that the srt8 hemi and most 5. 7 hemi and other v8’s suffer from each year they are taxed.
most of these cars have had many owners but my wife has owned this car 7 years (also always registered in her name) and we spent around two years looking for the right one (she has always been a car enthusiast just like me and her first car at 17 was a land rover defender). this is the 300 hemi to have and probably the best available, your search is over. This is one of the first rolling off the production line in rhd, in black with one previous owner and one of only 90 registered pre-annual £600 gas guzzling tax currently on the road of all colours. The original owner was a director of a large multi-national company and he had it as his company car initially then not long later moved registration into his personal name (the same person which is backed up by original purchase paperwork) until my wife bought the car.
the 300 hemi does 60 mph from a dig in 5. 8 seconds which is quite remarkable for the size and weight of the car on the factory wheels and 225/ 60/ 18 tyres (the pull from 30 mph once it starts to gain decent traction makes it a giggle machine). the cross plane crank v8 sound is addictive which is only found on american muscle, the european “small block v8’s” out there with a flat plane crank and a snail bolted on do not have the v8 burble of a true v8. “if you know, you know”.
you can watch savings as a number on paper with very little interest being eaten by inflation or enjoy your savings in the form of a hemi which can be used and is lots of fun to own.
it has the mds system which when cruising on the motorway or light load shuts down 4 cylinders, making it just a 2. 85 litre, for economy or when driving miss daisy but when the loud pedal is even lightly depressed all 8 cylinders fire up making it a true tyre shredding v8 muscle car.
it doesn’t lose a drop of any fluid, the engine is very quiet (no hemi tick which is found on neglected examples), the automatic gearbox is silky smooth and it drives and stops perfectly straight. It sounds amazing and is extremely vivacious out running most vehicles on the road making it a true sleeper disguised as a family saloon. It looks nearly new, drives like it did from new (no different to our 70 plate hemi we bought last year to replace this car) and starts on the button every time being 100% reliable in all the time we have owned. No expense spared, fully stamped service book from new (mostly chrysler/ dodge main dealer), all recalls done, achilles heels (front bushes, diamond cut wheel corrosion and sticking parking brake) have all been addressed. Everything simply just works exactly as it should, no fault codes, even the first aid kit and cargo net are present with unused spare wheel.
no expense has ever been spared and always meticulously maintained with the correct oils, fluids and parts. I have literally just spent over £1, 200 (with receipts) on the car, just had (april 2021) new discs (premium borg & beck) and pads (oem) all round (it only needed pads). also just had with new premium long-life antifreeze, brake fluid, auxiliary drive belt, oil and filter service with the correct fully synthetic 5w20 oil, all 16 spark plugs have been changed, air conditioning re-gassed (ice cold) and even new gearbox oil and filter. Also in 2021 it has had both rear abs rings done (common fault and only needed one side doing and not a cheap job to do). engine oil and filter has been replaced at least once a year regardless of mileage covered.
it has covered just over 59k miles and has passed all recent mot’s without issues. I will put a fresh mot if i get what i want as it won’t have any issues to pass) 59k miles is hardly bedded in as looked after these 5. 7 hemi engines and w5a580 auto gearboxes will go the moon and back! Consistently outstanding exhaust emissions with the last six mot exhaust emissions print outs that i have showing perfect reading 0% carbon monoxide at idle and fast idle and zero parts per million hydrocarbons making it burn every drop of petrol with very efficient catalytic converters using two spark plugs per cylinder making it only emit water and carbon dioxide making it very clean burning and great for air quality. Oh and it even qualifies for no charges to enter the london ultra low emission zone it is that clean.
it has four good premium tyres (pirelli fronts and avon's rear) with around 6mm tread at all corners all evenly worn. His and her’s memory keys (two sets of keys) with factory alarm/ immobiliser. All original body panels, bumpers, glass, locks, manuals and hpi clear. Usual hemi refinements such as the full lux pack including boston premium audio, leather, auto road speed sensitive wipers, heated memory seats, auto dimming rear view mirror, dual zone climate control, heated electric folding mirrors with auto tilt down when in reverse, cruise, parking sensors, uk & eu satellite navigation and an electric tilt and slide sunroof (a lot of this was optional extras on the diesel cars that are normally seen on the road). it has rear dvd’s built into the headrests with usb, sc card reader, independent remotes and wireless headphones but the sound can play through the car speakers if you wish. The integrated tv’s are perfect for long trips with the kids. Maintained regardless and the car now has classic/ collector car status with our insurance company so very cheap to insure, last july on renewal it was just £154. 56 for a year’s fully comprehensive insurance including business use.
this is an unabused example which has never been messed with, remapped, lowered etc. The wheels have absolutely no kerb rash and have probably never been scraped on a kerb, the doors have no parking dings and is as straight as an arrow with paintwork like glass. Just a couple of stone chips on the front bumper and lip of the bonnet and it is just a couple. Never used in traffic and stone chips don’t happen on the school run.
it has only covered less than 4, 000 smiles in the last 5 years of our ownership (rarely used in winter) and we need to be realistic having three other petrol v8’s (including a brand new 70 plate srt 6. 4 hemi to replace this car which we bought last year), another rare car and three old classic cars in the garage (total of 8 rare and/ or classic cars which is just too many vehicles even for serious car enthusiasts). this must be one of the best (if not the best) out there but it is 16 years old so don’t be expecting a brand new car but you will find it hard to spot any difference between this car and our new 70 plate hemi. You may find one cheaper (which is very often false economy) and if you are buying on price buy another one, if you are not buying on price then this is the one for you. We don’t need the money or space and certainly don’t want a part exchange. Cash on collection is fine but bank transfer preferred.
the number plate does not come with the car and it will go on a 55 plate, which can be done instantly online. You may be travelling some distance to buy this so it has a full tank of petrol, just had a full valet inside and out and i will have cups of tea and bacon barms on tap ready for your arrival to share with me whilst viewing (socially distanced of course). this is your chance to own and drive a legendary hemi v8 with a proper sound before the country sleepwalks into sitting inside automated electrical appliances, like johnny cabs, with artificial noise at low speeds to warn pedestrians of their presence..... recently it was announced that the days of certain big block hemi are coming to an end due to ever increasing co2 emission regulations (the recent change of us administration may have something to do with this.......). the end of the hemi and electrification must cause serious demand for people that appreciate muscle cars and the demand in the states for hemi powered vehicles is off the charts. Dodge is the one of the last manufacturers in the world making large block v8’s while others are bolting snails onto small blocks. My young lad has a five electric cars and is quite comical when he explains boys and girls drive electric cars and mummies and daddies all drive v8’s.... one of his first words was wowo (which is the sound of a petrol v8!!) and referred to all cars as wowo’s as a lot of people on our street own various v8 petrol powered cars and suv’s, future kids will think a v8 is a vegetable drink which is really sad as the golden age of motoring is coming to an end. Even the 8. 4l legendary v10 dodge viper was discontinued in 2017.
this is a cheap and practical way of owning an american muscle car being original uk market supplied in rhd so no insurance issues or problems sourcing spares. I have tried to cover everything to save your time and mine but please feel free to call me with any questions a lot easier to pick up the phone than message (i may not have time to get answer texts and emails) and if you want more pictures these can be e-mailed or what's app to you.
this was meant to be a lifetime car for us but need to be realistic having too many cars. We have paid all maintenance and service costs so you can just turn the key and enjoy a muscle car for a very long time to come.
