The time has come to sell my Viggen due to taking on new house build and pending retirement so can no longer justify the cost of keeping it hence I’ve decided it is time to let somebody else join the exclusive Viggen owners club.
Bought in 2013 as a temporary stopgap vehicle to use whilst restoring my daily commuter it is still in my possession 8 years later! Been mostly taxed and on the road over the years but never quite got round to using it as much as I would have liked and so SORNed it last year to save costs.
Prior to my ownership it was the pride & joy of a local police officer who owned it for 10 years previously having bought it from Astley Saab in Somerset.
The car comes with the obligatory original Saab document folder of service documents/ receipts/ MOTS/ original brochures etc - too much to list but can answer any details on request.
With only 100 of the 350 models sold in the UK left on the road Viggen’s are becoming increasingly scarce and a fast appreciating modern classic with many in Europe now at five figure prices.
Asking £4500 for one of the quickest, quirkiest 4 cylinder cars Saab ever produced.

Much hours on the bodywork done recently to bring it up to scratch for MOT and sort the inevitable paint blistering on the wheel arches. These have been mostly treated and locally touched up but a few spots remain. Now looks dazzling in the sunshine.
A lot of hours also been spent rustpooofing, undersealing, waxoyling underside, sills, floors, inner wings, trailing arm etc
Known faults:
Some pixels missing in ACC panel
All pixels working in SID except on cold mornings? Don’t ask me why.
Rear view mirror tilt up/ down switch intermittent
Headlamp wipers work intermittently
Small tear in front air dam (a common problem with Viggens due to ridiculously long, low front) easy repair
Rear badge faded, replacement available - still to be fitted
