e30 touring amazing condition with thousands of pounds invested into it in the last 3 years with all pictures of the restoration undertaken
History
This car was originally purchased in Germany in 1990 by the 4th army air core who where operating during the golf war flying various battle helicopters and was based in Germany up until 1994 when the air core changed bases around this time in 1994 it was brought to the uk and put into civilian service being sold to a garage and registered as a uk car in 1994 it was then sold to a gentleman in Wales who had problems with the engine 2 years after ownership and showing 97000 miles bmw tried to fix the problems but for some reason could not and eventually the engine was replaced with a brand new bmw engine at 97000 miles which was fitted and supplied by a bmw main dealership in Wales at the great cost the car was then sold to another couple of gentleman in Wales who kept up with its service and maintenance using bmw and specialists it was then sold to a gentleman in Edinburgh who clearly loved it and used it as his daily drive also spending a lot of money on regular servicing and repair as well as a number of restoration jobs to the car in his 10 + years of ownership which helped keep the car in a reasonable condition when he part exchanged it for another bmw presumably as his daily driver I purchased it from a car trader down south who had taken it as px although the car was already in great condition I could see parts that needed attention and set about work which developed into more of a full restoration than I had imagined but ultimately worth while every invoice documents every old mot and tax disc are included from when the car was first produced until now a full box of history

Bilstien b4 shocks top mounts etc etc
Lowering springs 35/ 40
Brakes callipers replaced or refurbished
Complete new braking system pipes hand brake discs pads clips brake guards sensors etc etc
New polly bushes throughout front and rear
New control arms drop links all brackets replaced etc etc
Front and rear subframes trailing arms removed and refurbished
New petrol tank 63l correct for a touring
New Wheel bearings
All oem petrol pipes filters and brackets
New rear exhaust all mounts rubbers heat shields etc replaced
Rear diff re built new cover guards bearings seals etc etc
Black silicone hoses rs moose racing not cheapos!
New front cam seal water pump cam belt replaced
New sump gasket and rocker gasket rubber hoses and breather pipes etc replaced
Reconditioned power steering rack all track rod ends etc
New battery fuses bulbs etc all replaced and all electrics sorted everything works
New sunroof seals crank handle screws clips etc etc all replaced so the sunroof woks and no leaks !
New drivers wing and front valance replaced
Welding several places needed welding on this vehicle and was all done to a high standard by a local expert all wings skirts etc where removed and the car was gutted to find any hidden patch £1250 has been spent on welding (pics available)
New headlights and glass fog lights indicators etc all replaced
New windscreen
Various new window seals and weather seals
New bonnet insulation
Spring habt r alloys in stretched bottle top style 15 inch with brand new toyo proxy tyres cost £1500
New black headliner refurbished interior all broken clips parts etc have been replaced
I’m sure there are loads of other parts I have fitted not mentioned above but the above give you a flavour of the extensive restoration that has taken place and an idea of the money spent on this truly stunning car let alone the 1000 plus hours I have spent on it over the last 3 years on the build mechanically the car is perfect and the engine pulls extremely well and has a lovely exhaust note the only engine modification is a ram air filter which really make this amazing engine breath much better the car drives like new and keeps up with modern traffic and shakes off determined boy racers no problem ! I have really enjoyed doing This build and making it perfect but I have now decided to sell the car and try another build as this car now needs some good dry storage which I don’t have my lock up gets wet in the winter landlord has threatened to fix it for years lol also as above I’m ready to move on and tackle another project as it keeps me busy and keep my mind off life’s stresses someone will receive a truly amazing car as you can probably see I was going to show it but with COVID and no proper dry storage and missing entry to my local show I’ve decided against it.
