Description
A very rare one-owner UK Moto Morini 500 V-Twin, sold as the Maestro, known as the 500 Sport. This machine is in good running condition, starts easily on the button or kickstart, sounds mechanically quiet and is in unrestored largely standard condition. A copy of the original sales invoice to the single UK owner to date can be found in the comprehensive collection of documents and manuals that come with this bike. Over the years a number of modifications have been carried out, the most noteworthy being some mild carburettor tuning and the two-into-one exhaust (the original downpipes come with the bike). Used regularly but covering very few miles, the bike will benefit from a service (new belt and some spares provided) and some basic service items like rear drive chain which are nearing the end of their service life. The paintwork is all completely original and whilst some will no doubt view this as a restoration opportunity it’s also a classic example of the patina that develops with responsible ownership and use over 40 years and it’s really rather charming as it is.
