Finished in Lachs silver, 15" BMW BBS cross spoke alloy wheels finished in silver which are in good condition all round, good tread on branded tyres all round, runs and drives like new.

Very rare and great condition black leather sports seats, multi position adjustable seats, black dashboard (which is uncracked) with storage compartment, electric mirrors.

Incredible opportunity to purchase an appreciating classic in quite possibly the rarest / most desirable colour combination of Lachs silver with black leather. This car is a factory sport with full sport specification which from factory has: Pop out rear windows, electric sunroof / LSD (limited slip differential) / shadow line trim / M-tech body kit / shorter ratio gearbox / Anthracite headlining / black leather / rear parcel shelf sun blind / one piece leather gear knob and gaitor, leather handbrake handle and gaitor.

Over the last 4 years the car has undergone sympathetic recommissioning, retaining its originality to get to a concours level. The following work has been undertaken within this time period:

Full bare metal respray:

Full bare metal respray at a cost of over £8000

which included the whole car being taken back to bare metal and re painted, all clips and trims and badges replaced with genuine BMW parts, window seals replaced, the engine bay media blasted and painted.

At the same time as this the car had 2 x genuine BMW front wings, other than this all panels on the vehicle are original, it has never had any arches, inner arches etc which is very common on these cars and just shows how well it has been cared for during its life.

Engine rebuild:

Full engine rebuild to original spec by Guards Engineering Rayleigh at a cost of £6000.

This included full strip and inspection of engine, new valves and springs, new pistons + rings, polished crank, new bearings, new camshaft, block painted, head cleaned, port + polish, new studs and bolts, all new gaskets. Engine has covered approx. 1500 miles since the rebuild.

Custom Stainless steel exhaust:

Custom fabricated and fitted by Hayward & Scott of Essex

Full length from manifold with custom ‘X pipe’ instead of middle box, and shorter

rear box with slash cut tail pipe tips.

Restoration work undertaken by M-tech Garage:

Full underside stripped

All underseal removed to bare metal and reapplied

All suspension components and subframes removed, blasted and powder coated

Every bushing and bolt replaced

All new fuel and brake lines fitted (genuine BMW)

New Bilstein B8 shocks and springs fitted

Short gear shift fitted (genuine BMW)

New headlights (genuine BMW)

New grilles and kidney grilles (genuine BMW)

Exhaust manifold blasted and painted

Exhaust manifold gaskets / heatshields replaced (genuine BMW)

Manifold studs and nuts replaced (genuine BMW)

New under bonnet sound insulation (genuine BMW)

New wiper motor and wipers

New starter motor (Bosch)

New fuel pump (Bosch)

Steering rack refurbished

New lower control arms

This is just a brief summary as there is much more to list…

The car runs and drives like a brand new car, just this week it has had a new Bosch S5 battery with a 5 year warranty and has just been detailed internally and externally ready to go for the new owner. The car has a full folder with stamped original service booklet, every MOT from new, every invoice the car has ever had etc.

There are invoices totalling in excess of £20, 000 in the last 4 years.

Due to the rarity and concourse condition of the car I will not be accepting part exchange offers and will be looking for very close to the asking price. If it does not sell I will simply put it back into dehumidified storage where it has been parked, I have more pictures and a video that I can send over to any interested parties.
