Clearly maintained and cared for over the years. Main attention required now is to exterior as faded paint on roof and bonnet. There are a couple of scrapes requiring repair as pictured. Interior is excellent apart from some wear and tear / marking on front seats. The sunroof has been temporarily sealed up as original rubber seal was leaking. Electric window regulators have stopped working, suspected due to lack of use recently - perhaps req. lubricating ? New regulators are available for £38 from Euro Car Parts.
I am a French car enthusiast and recently acquired this very original vehicle, as owned by virtually one owner, a lady in West London. There is lots of service history including the original stamped Service / Warranty Booklet and there are 2 original Renault keys. The most luxurious version of a great icon from Renault. Having had a couple of faults rectified, the car is now being offered for sale with a low reserve, having all the patina, being unmolested. TLC required for fully glory again.
The MONACO spec. includes alloy wheels, leather seats and sports steering wheel. The original tailored carpeting throughout floor and boot areas is in excellent order. Also there is the unique zip up suit / outfit compartment incorporated under the rear parcel shelf.
This is the 1. 4 auto model and she still drives and runs beautifully. DVLA mot history will confirm mileage and other details. MOT is until December 2022. Please see image of Invoice for £633 ref. MOT repairs just completed. Other Parts renewed in last 6 months include : Battery, Alternator, V belt, Engine Oil and Filter, Air Filter, Spark Plugs, HT Leads, Distributor Cap and Rotor Arm, Gearbox Oil.
Speculation is that 5 Monaco's will become far more valuable when the New Renault 5 is launched in near future. Currently other examples of the Monaco with good bodywork are occasionally advertised i. r. o. £6000 - £10000.
A far higher value would be achievable without need for extensive work.
Garage where kept is now needed to repair my Renault Espace. The car is located near Hastings, East Sussex and is available for viewing anytime.
