Description
A fully restored 1937 Brough Superior MX80. The bike has matching numbers, the fuel tank & gearbox are also matching numbers to the Brough worksheet. The engine & gearbox have been rebuilt using new parts from the owners club where required. The fuel tank has a new front (new domes as they are called) soldered to it, chrome plated, painted & internal sealed, The carb has been resleeved & had other machining done by the Carb Man who stalls out at Kempton Park. The pannier boxes have new leather after being resprayed. The magneto & dynamo were rebuilt. The wiring loom was replaced & a solid state regulator rectifier was put inside an old Lucas case & refitted to the bike. Amal Handlebar grips as well as the controls are new along with the control cables. The exhaust system has been completely renewed. Somewhere back in time the forks were upgraded to Monarch forks probably from another Brough & I have resleeved them & put them back on with new head race ball bearings. All chrome was redone & all painted parts were shot blasted then either stove enameled or resprayed in a spray bay . Old photos & tax discs come with bike, which is registered with the owners club & has appeared in their magazine. I have tried to restore the bike to original but not to a concourse level.
