1976 Excalibur SS Series III Phaeton, finished in Arctic White with Beige leather piped red. The Excalibur automobile was a car styled after the 1928 Mercedes-Benz SSK by Brooks Stevens for Studebaker. Stevens subsequently formed a company to manufacture and market the cars, which were a standard Studebaker car with special bodywork. As the Excalibur progressed they soon developed a clientele list to rival all the luxury car manufacturers with Hollywood in particular taking notice. Stars including Frank Sinatra, Tony Curtis, Steve Mcqueen, Dick Van Dyke, Burt Lancaster, Ronald Reagan, Sonny &Cher, Jackie Gleason, Rod Stewart, Jay Leno and of course Arnold Schwarzenegger etc etc!
This particular example is a desirable Series 3 Phaeton and features the 454 Big Block with fully functioning side pipes. The last owner imported the Excalibur in 1996 and has maintained it fastidiously making this one of the best on the market and needing nothing!
