Offered For Sale is Hugo, my 2006 Peugeot Ludix 50cc 2 Stroke Moped.
Great commuter moped, to carry in your camper or for great weekend rides out.
I've owned him for just over 3 years and what started out as a standard plastic clad 50cc Moped has become a unique custom moped with many mods.
70cc kit added along with engine and clutch mods as well as a full Yasuni race exhaust. Recent carb clean, fuel system flush and new air filter added.
Front disk brake and braded hose upgrade, matching rear wheel included as a spare but tread low.
Plastic trim removed, front light removed and small LED light added along with a large Cibie light, this is to cover the ignition only and does not illuminate.
Rear light assembly changed and frame end shortened.
Speedo repositioned, speed is incorrect.
Original mirrors have been hung under the handle bars to add to the style of the moped and still offer good visibility.
Foot plate removed and a modified vintage oil container added providing a small area of storage also.
Pillion foot pegs utilised and a Ludix double seat added to improve riding position and balance upon the moped. I’m 6’1” and it offers a much improved riding position on the standard Ludix.
Had great fun riding this around South Leicestershire and around some Beautiful parts of the Devon coast too. In my ownership its always been kept in the back of my camper.
Built as I wanted something different and like the street fighter stripped down look , I went for the Peugeot Ludix 50cc as I have grandpa rights on my car license, they offer great potential for modification being based on a frame whilst still retaining reliability and great access to parts.
This is a unique moped, great stripped down looks with increased acceleration and a higher top end at 40 mph +. Runs well and now with full MOT.
Great unique moped for commuting, for fun, for camping. Lightweight and small enough carry in your camper but reliable and economical enough to provide work transporting to reduce commuting costs.
This is a 15 year old moped, it’s modified and not although tidy and fully working there is opportunity to ride and improve or just ride and maintain but please study the photos as these along with the written elements form an important part of the description.
Additional things to note.
Sometime when stood a while it needs a little Easy Start (can included) and the kick start.
Some previous MOT’s have been recorded in MPH but the clock records KM.
Speedo is inaccurate but consistently out so easy to know your speed.
Registered still as a 50cc on the V5 so even with the exhaust and visual modifications it’s still Learner Legal.
