Description
This is the Original Design Maquette (Model) by Figoni et Falaschi from 1937.
Antonio Lago wanted a Cabriolet to complement the Teardrop Coupe that Figoni et Falaschi had already designed for the Talbot-Lago T150-C SS Châssis.
This Maquette was Designed by Joseph Figoni Himself in 1937, then Hand-Built by Craftsmen at Figoni et Falaschi in Wood and Metal. The Paint on this Maquette is the Original from 1937; including the Paper Stickers on the front and back bumpers: “Talbot-Lago” and “1937”.
This Maquette is in Mint Original Unrestored Condition. It has NOT been restored. It has simply been very carefully Cleaned and Polished.
The Original Paint from 1937 on this Maquette is the Exact Automotive Paint that was utilised on one of the Three Cabriolets that were built by Figoni et Falaschi the next year.
This Colour was Proposed for the First of the Three Cabriolets Châssis 90111; but was instead utilised on the Second car Châssis 90019 / 90115. (As a note the two Châssis 90019 and 90115 had their serial numbers swapped some time after the war).
