EXTERIOR
Still finished in its original lustrous coat of Performance Blue with contrasting black trim and privacy glass all round, this fully-Mountune’d RS really looks the part. The paintwork presents to an excellent standard throughout with absolutely no rust or lacquer peel issues in any of the common weak spots. The car is arrow-straight along both sides and at the front end there’s barely a stone chip in sight, the only real negative to report being one very light scratch above the rear diffuser. A truly magnificent example in every respect.
INTERIOR
The factory Recaro seats are trimmed in unmarked Alcantara with black leather bolsters, again all in exceptional condition. Equipped with the desirable Luxury Pack 2 option, additional creature comforts within the cabin include dual-zone automatic AC, auto headlights and wipers, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, rear parking sensors, keyless entry/ start, and touchscreen satnav. All the trim within the car is amazingly unmarked, and in the footwells you’ll find a pristine set of Focus RS overmats. The car is further equipped with Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
In July 2012 this Mk2 RS was upgraded to MP350 specification by Mountune in Essex. The package consisted of a larger capacity, high-performance alloy intercooler, a high-flow airbox designed by Mountune, high-flow exhaust downpipe, uprated fuel delivery module, and revised engine management. Better still, the car most recently benefits from the Mountune Racing MR375 upgrade giving performance returns of 0-60mph in 5. 0 seconds – a 0. 9 second improvement over the standard RS – and on to a top speed of 165mph.
This cherished one owner example is accompanied by an amazing service history with 11 Ford main dealer stamps in the original service booklet. The car has been religiously serviced every year apart from 2020 when it was unused due to the pandemic. The last service was carried out in April 2021 at 25, 318 miles; this was done by Kennedy Bros Ford and included a timing belt change. MOT’d with no advisories until September 2022, she’s good to go.
WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
The Focus sits on its original 19-inch alloys, all in excellent original condition with only a small amount of curb marking on the outer edges to report. The wheels are wrapped in matching Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres all round, with 6mm of tread left at the front and 7mm at the rear. The brakes were checked alongside the last service and also remain in excellent condition with plenty of life left.
In 2014 the car returned to Mountune in Essex where it was treated to the Mountune Clubsport Suspension kit and Mountune Performance brakes with grooved discs all round.
HISTORY FILE
This stunning low mileage example was registered to its first and only keeper in September 2010. It was supplied new by Wool and Bovington Ford, whose dealer registration plates are still present with the car. Despite its very low mileage of just 25k, the Focus has been fastidiously serviced at Ford every year apart from 2020, and most recently benefits from a service and timing belt change done in April. It was upgraded to Mountune MP350 spec in 2012 and then to MR375 spec in 2019. Other notable upgrades include the Mountune suspension, brakes, and exhaust.
The accompanying History File is complete with a stack of main dealer invoices from new – including the original bill of sale – a raft of Mountune invoices totalling in excess of £8, 300, every MOT certificate, the original Ford document wallet, all owner’s manuals, and a spare Key-Free key. The stamped service history is detailed below.
