This 318iS 16valve Convertible was only made for the US market. The M42 engine is just as rev-happy as the M3 S14, but despite having less top-end grunt, it feels smoother and more refined. Suspension feels similarly sporty, thanks to similar spring rates and a stiffer front sway bar than a regular 318i. Another advantage is the 318is lightness. It’s only 300 pounds lighter than the M3, but in a 2, 595-pound car, that is a discernible difference, and it inspires a confidence that comes from favourable physics. The result is one of the most undiluted BMW driving experiences possible.
Dubai import, lived in a dry USA state (California) until 2018 and Dubai until 2020, hence no rot anywhere, not even in the notorious boot and rear valance areas !

This is the Best e30 You can buy in the UK, as it has no rust, unlike all the UK cars which have hidden rot in many areas. Originally a USA spec 318is Cabriolet. Converted to extremely high standard M3 body in Dubai, where labour cost doesnt matter, the wings are original steel, but wing extensions are fibreglass, but You would think its metal by looking at it, thats how good the conversion was done ! No cracks in the wings, not even tiny ones.
