My motorcycle only has 281miles, yes 281 evidenced miles which I guarantee.
It may be hard to believe but it’s as close to a new BMW as it’s possible to get, my goodness it’s actually now possible to get classic bike insurance for it.
It was tested a month ago.
It’s has been known to the local BMW Motorad dealerships John Clark Dundee and Aberdeen since new which can be checked on their computers.
The original owner displayed it in his Classic Porsche collection. When this collection sadly had to be sold to a well known classic Porsche dealership, the family insisted the bike go with the collection and I managed to buy it. I was hit with a bit of ill health so I was pleased just to ride it every so often for just a mile or so just to keep everything moving.
It’s absolutely stunning, never seen rain to the best of my knowledge. It’s effectively a new, classic BMW grand tourer for little money, it’s not a high mileage, refurbished model, it’s just as it left the showroom except for the new black powerbronze and a colour matching Baglux cover and the stand is included with the sale and so about £500 of accessories. The original clear screen is present.
The previous owner had the bike uplifted by trailer John Clark for its service and was charged £1200 as they replaced the tyres through age only.
The registration number, which I put on, can be negotiated separately, I would really like to keep it and the bike’s original number will be replaced on sale.
I rode the bike to the very local MOT garage and it’s stunning, it has ESA, heated grips, powered brakes which are possibly the best I’ve ever used.
Needless to say it passed its test with the tester simply admiring a “new” bike.
Anyone who comes to view will be impressed, it’s amazing in yellow, black and silver.
Where else can you buy a new, large capacity BMW for under £10000 ? This bike needs a new owner who can appreciate what he or she is getting for the money and who can look past the guide prices, they can’t and don’t factor in special bikes like this. Keep it as it is and treasure it as I do or simply start off many years of motorcycling with that special feeling of talking about where it’s been and how it looks so good.
I am a private seller and so can’t offer exchanges, trade ins or finance and sorry but it can’t be 2, 3, 4, 5 or £6000.
I’ve only put on a few photos, no matter how many I display it won’t get any worse looking but please tell me if you want to see any particular area and I’ll post. The tank is clean and new looking under the Baglux. New MOT.
I won’t ship overseas but come and collect by all means. You really must view this bike to appreciate what you would be buying under £8k. If it was in the local motorad I’m sure it would be £9999 + and promoted as something really, really special which it undoubtedly is.
Sensible questions will be answered with respect but please none to raise my concerns like what’s the reg and chassis number !
It’s one of the most comfortable bikes I’ve ever ridden but the weight and power may not be to everyone’s liking. I also have a 2017 Triumph Thruxton (217 miles only and new MOT) for sale on CandC. It’s stunningly beautiful and a delight to ride.
The owner of a local motorcycle shop has kindly agreed to sell this BMW on my behalf and return the asking price so he must be confident of a premium.
