This is a 1951 Kaiser Deluxe Club Coupe finished in Cape Verde Green with a contrasting cream and green custom made interior. The car is left-hand-drive and has covered 99, 000 miles from new.
The Kaiser-Frazer Corporation was the result of a partnership between automobile executive Joseph W. Frazer and industrialist Henry J. Kaiser. In 1947, the company acquired the automotive assets of Graham-Paige, of which Frazer had become president near the end of World War II. Kaiser-Frazer was the only new US automaker to achieve success after World War II, if only for a few years. Joseph W. Frazer left the company in 1949, replaced as president by Henry's son Edgar F. Kaiser.
This is an extremely rare car; the Kaiser Club believe it is one of just 18 Custom Coupés still in existence. The original straight six engine in this car has been upgraded with a slightly later V6 engine, possibly a Buick Unit, which suits the car perfectly. Mated to a three-speed automatic gearbox the Kaiser runs and drives very well. The interior presents beautifully and the coachwork retains a deep shine and is complemented by the Coker style white wall wheels and tyres that offer two options of finish, wire or spinner. This Kaiser is a very interesting motorcar that is in very good order throughout and comes complete with a valid MoT test certificate, and the original sales literature and its UK Registration document. This very unique and rare car is a head turner wherever it goes.
