Hello. Here we have for sale a 1991 Classic Panda 4x4.
Purchased a year ago as a little lockdown project, now for sale due to a family bereavement and ill health.
Minor restoration undertaken to get her back on the road after a decade of dry storage in a barn (was a bit of a barn find). Work includes oil and filters change, and 4 new tyres to name a few things done / changed.
She comes MOTed until August and can either be used as she is or finished off by the next owner. Has a few quirks like the fuel gauge only showing 1/ 4 of a tank even when 2/ 3 full, and stuck choke cable (in the closed position, can be opened and closed manually on the carb) to name a few of them. Fairly simple fixes.
The car drives and pulls well for a 30+ year old car, however the gearbox crunches in 1st and 2nd gear, and there is a general intermittent transmission whine which may be linked. I’ve sourced a spare gearbox that I was going to fit, but haven’t got around to doing this and have run out of time with ongoing family health commitments. This spare gear box is included in the sale, although condition unknown.
Ideal for a fettler to finish off, or even to complete a nut and bolt restoration if they wished. Please remember this Panda is 30 years old, and it isn’t immaculate (as you’d be looking at 2-3 times the asking price as you most likely know). It’s structurally solid, but does have some minor knocks, war wounds and paintwork issues, as photographed. Viewing welcomed and highly recommended so you can judge the Panda for yourself.
